N'CAT Tutoring Program: Call for Tutors

Modified: August 8, 2017

N’CAT Tutoring Program is seeking to hire Northwestern graduate students to tutor Northwestern student-athletes. Starting in the Fall 2017 quarter, they need tutors in physics, astronomy, math, statistics, economics, engineering, chemistry, and the biological sciences, but are also hiring tutors for humanities and social science fields.

Their pay rate is $20 for graduate students ($25 for those with a PhD) and their flexible hours can be tailored to an individual’s course and research schedules. These paid quarterly tutor training sessions focus on preparing students for Teaching Assistantships and other pedagogical duties in their department or field.

Tutors must fill out the online application and then schedule a time to meet with Shuji Otsuka, Tutoring/Study Skills coordinator, for an interview. If accepted, a training session is required for anyone who will be paid through athletics, but attendees will be compensated for their time.

If you have any questions, please email Shuji Otsuka, N’CAT Tutor Coordinator.
