The PhD program in the Department of Accounting Information and Management prepares students for faculty positions in the world's leading business schools.

The department's faculty consists of some of the most prominent researchers and teachers in accounting. Department strengths include cost allocations, financial statement analysis, the use of accounting data in performance evaluation, the standard-setting process, earnings and earnings forecasts, and accounting for complex financial instruments.

Students and faculty participate in weekly research workshops and seminars and in our annual accounting conference focusing on cutting edge research that brings all of our research-active doctoral alumni and past faculty back to Kellogg.
