RSG Communications Workshop

RSG turns great researchers into great communicators. It is an intensive summer workshop series designed to improve the oral communication and presentation skills of graduate students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Northwestern’s graduate programs stand at the forefront of their respective research fields. With so much groundbreaking research taking place here, it is increasingly important to convey the results of that research clearly and concisely to a wide variety of audiences—from expert to general. RSG involves three primary themes:

  • Ready: Building stage confidence.
  • Set: Crafting your message.
  • Go: Making the connection.

The program consists of ten weeks of two-hour workshops taught by experts from the fields of theater, journalism, education, and business communications. All graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are invited to apply to participate.
