Northwestern IT to Host Computational Research Day – April 10

Northwestern Information Technology will host the annual Northwestern Computational Research Day on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Norris University Center from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Computational Research Day 2018 All Northwestern University faculty, postdocs, students, and staff who are interested in computational research are invited to attend this one-of-a-kind event and learn from student and faculty researchers about computational research projects that are being explored at Northwestern.

Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program

The Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholars Program attracts high-achieving postdoctoral scholars from premier universities in the United States to do research at one of four Israeli universities. Once they complete their research, many Zuckerman postdocs are expected to accept faculty positions at top North American universities, weaving a network of academic collaboration and goodwill that will greatly benefit US-Israeli scientific cooperation. The deadline for applications to Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, and Weizmann Institute of Science has been extended to: March 15.

The Michelson Medical Research Foundation together with the Human Vaccines Project has established the Michelson Prizes for Human Immunology and Vaccine Research — Two $150K Prizes for Young Investigators. Pursuit Award Nominations Due February 2

The Pursuit Award is an international award that recognizes outstanding achievements in childhood disability research by current PhD students and those who have defended their PhD thesis in the last year. Current PhD students (no more than 6 months away from defense), post-doctoral trainees or recent graduates may apply.
