2019 Vanderbilt Biomedical Postdoctoral Fellow Recruitment Event
The Vanderbilt University School of Medicine invites senior graduate students from underrepresented groups to apply to attend the 2019 Vanderbilt Biomedical Postdoctoral Fellow Recruitment Event to be held April 8-9 in conjunction with the annual Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Symposium, which will be held on Tuesday, April 9. Underrepresented groups include, but are not limited to, African Americans, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, and those with disabilities or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This event is unique, in that in addition to meeting with potential faculty postdoctoral mentors and presenting your own dissertation research project, you will have the opportunity on day 2 to attend the annual Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Symposium where you will meet, through multiple short talks and poster session, the large and diverse group of postdoctoral fellows currently in residence at Vanderbilt. Additional events tailored to future postdoctoral trainees include dinners with a range of faculty, the Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Leadership Association, as well as panel discussions on life in Nashville and opportunities to learn about outstanding research support core facilities and Vanderbilt's award-winning Career Development office.
Postdoctoral training is a key phase in your career development. More information about Vanderbilt's Postdoctoral Program in the Biomedical Sciences can be found here.
