Applications Now Open for NCI's Graduate Student Recruiting Program
There is still time to apply to the 4th Annual Graduate Student Recruiting Program (GSRP)! Graduate students who apply and are invited to visit the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have a distinct advantage in obtaining postdoctoral trainee positions.
Please visit the GSRP website for useful information to assist in completing your application. The application deadline is Sunday, January 31.
About the Program
The GSRP is a competitive program that provides students the opportunity to explore postdoctoral fellowships at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). During the two-day program in May, invited applicants will visit the NIH, learn about the various resources that NIH and NCI have to offer, and network with NCI investigators, staff, and current postdoctoral trainees. In addition, the poster sessions provide an excellent opportunity to network and foster collaborations with scientists at the NIH. NCI investigators looking to fill open positions view GSRP as a source of qualified candidates.
Eligibility Requirements
You must be enrolled in a PhD program in the United States and on schedule to complete your PhD degree requirements by December 2019. If you are attending graduate school on an H1B visa, you can still apply for the program. However, you must be a permanent resident or on a J1 visa at the time of appointment.
Should you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the GSRP coordinator.
