GEO Community Practicum Information Sessions
January 14, 2019
The Graduate Engagement Opportunities (GEO) Community Practicum enables PhD students to connect theory & practice through a quarter-long internship with a community organization and a credit-bearing graduate seminar on public scholarship. GEO students have worked with local organizations to use predictive analytics to identify high-crash corridors for the City of Chicago, develop an ESL curriculum for immigrants and refugees, create exhibition materials for the Field Museum, and much more. Curious? Attend an information session with GEO alumni:
- Wednesday, January 23, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, in Annenberg Hall G31 (2120 Campus Drive, Evanston, IL 60208)
- Thursday, January 24, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, in Tech L158 (2145 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL 60208)
Lunch will be provided. Click here for additional information and applications. GEO will next be offered spring quarter 2019. Applications are due by Friday, February 1.
