Inclusive Teaching Forum 2019
Inclusion at the Intersection
The third annual Inclusive Teaching Forum (ITF) will be held on Wednesday, February 13, at Norris University Center on Evanston Campus from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
The forum is designed to help educators at Northwestern (faculty, PhD students, postdoctoral trainees, staff, and administrators) to collectively advance equitable and inclusive learning and teaching environments across the university. The ITF is a day-long experience which includes workshops, a lunchtime plenary on intersectionality, and small group discussions aimed at fostering inclusive learning environments.
ITF participants will:
- Explore intersectionality and its impact in learning and teaching contexts;
- Engage critically with case studies to explore authentic student experiences and their impact;
- Engage in discussions around promising practices for inclusive teaching and learning;
- Continue to foster a culture of inclusive teaching practice.
*Registration required. Please register by 9:00 AM on Tuesday, February 12.
Please note: Schedule and content are subject to change as we finalize the day’s events. Please visit this page for updates closer to the event date.
