Call for Applications: Kaplan Humanities Institute Graduate Assistantship (2019-20)

Build your credentials and portfolio in the public humanities!

Applications are being accepted for the graduate assistantship (GAship) in the public humanities for the 2019-20 academic year. The Assistantship is designed to build professional capacity in programming, research support, and undergraduate mentorship. The role will encompass a broad range of duties, from coordinating undergraduate student involvement in the humanities to building collaborations and outreach initiatives with Northwestern and outside organizations. The goal is to develop skills to build and expand credentials and portfolio in the public humanities, with particular training in understanding the mission and operations of an academic humanities institute.

Eligibility
  • PhD student in the humanities or social sciences
  • Must be in good academic standing and have the approval of primary thesis advisor and director of graduate studies
  • Current TGS student
Funding

Includes stipend for academic year (September - June) and tuition scholarship (the FY2020 stipend rate is $2,737 per month)
