SOA Presents a Night at the Art Institute on May 9
Please join Student Organizations & Activities (SOA) for a special night at the Art Institute of Chicago on Thursday May 9, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. All students, postdoctoral trainees, staff, faculty, AND as many guests as they like are welcome to enjoy free admission at the modern wing entrance (Monroe St.). Please show your Wildcard at the event check-in table and receive free museum tickets for you and your party. This program is co-sponsored by the Northwestern Alumni Association.
Event Details
The event includes three featured tours led by Art Institute staff as well as an informal welcome reception for all guests. All tours are first-come-first-serve and limited by space. Learn more including event updates by visiting the Facebook event page. The night will include:
- Northwestern University Guest Reception: 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Ryan Learning Center
- Gallery Talk: African Art at the Art Institute of Chicago: 6:00 - 7:00 PM, Meet in Griffin Court
- Exhibition Tour: The People Shall Govern! Medu Art Ensemble and the Anti-Apartheid Poster: 6:15 - 7:15 PM, Meet in Griffin Court
- Gallery Talk: Rembrandt’s Portraits and Dutch Golden Age Painting: 6:30 - 7:30 PM, Meet in Griffin Court
Transportation Details
If you are a student enrolled in classes on the Evanston Campus, you can complete our CTA Pass request form for free round-trip CTA passes to/from the event. SOA will share an update with you 24 hours before the event with details on picking up your ride passes.
