Write to Change the World Seminar Opportunity
The Graduate School is excited to partner with the Op-Ed Project to offer ten graduate students and postdoctoral trainees the opportunity to participate in one of three "Write to Change the World" seminars in Chicago this fall.
"Write to Change the World" is the Op-Ed Project's day-long core seminar designed to test assumptions about our individual knowledge and what it takes to be influential on a large scale. Participants emerge with concrete results, including the outline for an op-ed, and will have three months' access to the Op-Ed Project's national network of high-level mentor-editors while they work to draft a piece after the seminar.
Seminars will be held in Chicago on Friday, September 20; Friday, December 6; and Saturday, December 7 . More information, including the form to apply, can be found here.
Applications are due by Monday, August 12 at 5:00 PM. Applicants will be notified of decisions by Thursday, August 15.
