Apply for a Winter 2025 Childcare Grant

Dear TGS students,

TGS is pleased to offer a graduate student childcare grant to enable eligible student parents to take advantage of childcare options wherever they reside, domestically or internationally. This grant provides support for a full academic year (September 1 – August 31) based on eligibility.
 
To be eligible, you must be an active, fully funded PhD or MFA degree candidate affiliated with TGS. This grant is limited to three children per family, ages 13 and under (one grant per household). Combined family income must be $150,000 or less as verified on your most recent federal tax return or FAFSA. 

Grant awards are as follows:
  • Maximum $5,000 for one child per year
  • Maximum $8,000 for two children per year
  • Maximum $12,000 for three children per year
Please complete this application form no later than Monday, January 6 to be considered for funding for the Winter, Spring, and Summer Quarters. Please note those who were already awarded this grant in the Fall Quarter 2024 do not need to reapply if there are no changes. The funds will be automatically deposited at the end of January 2025 for those who still meet the eligibility requirements. Awards are paid in quarterly installments and are not retroactive.
